Dale Hubbard, OSU

West Coast OA Cruise Mission Scientist

Bio: I’m a Senior Faculty Research Assistant in the College of Ocean, Earth, Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University. For the past 17 years, I’m mostly been working in the realms of analytical chemistry, marine geology (coring), instrument development, moorings, etc.  I’ve participated in innumerable cruises, aboard 26 different vessels, and my surfboards and small stringed musical instruments serve as constant travel companions.

What I’m doing on this cruise: I’ll be collecting seawater samples from the shipboard CTD, analyzing them for oxygen, and also freezing seawater samples for nutrient analysis back at home.
